『Scales of Fate』
Didn't expect a 30-minute game to feel this tense, but the demigod quests had us second-guessing every move. The deduction side is genuinely clever - I lost three rounds before I stopped trusting my own instincts.
My partner and I learned this in about five minutes and were fully hooked by the second round. Sending the nine demigods on quests to claw for favor gets wonderfully tense, since you're constantly second-guessing what they're holding. It plays in half an hour, which is perfect for a weeknight.
I've played a lot of two-player games that take an hour to teach, but this one had us dueling in about five minutes. The nine demigods each have their own quirks, so sending them on quests never gets old.
