This neoprene mat keeps the contracts off of your table when playing with the Nomad expansion. It replaces the cardboard navigation board.
The mat ships outside of the game box in a tube, but all mats will fit inside the Titan box.
Wasn't sure a mat would be worth it until I played with the Nomad expansion and kept knocking contract cards off the table. This replaced the cardboard navigation board and everything finally stays put through a whole game.
The neoprene has just enough grip that contract cards stop sliding around mid-turn, which was my main annoyance with the old cardboard board. It does arrive in a separate tube rather than inside the game box, but it rolled out flat almost immediately. Total upgrade for Nomad games.
I was worried the tube packaging meant it would arrive creased, but it unrolled completely flat after a night under some books. The neoprene has a nice cushion to it and the printed navigation spots line up perfectly with the Nomad contracts. Way better than the flimsy cardboard board it replaces.
