The hidden information in this one keeps every round tense, and figuring out when to sacrifice a lane is way more fun than it sounds. Took one playthrough for my wife and me to get the asymmetric powers, but the second game hooked us.
Losing a battle on purpose to win the war is such a clever twist, and my husband fell for it every single time. The asymmetric powers mean each side plays completely differently, so we've already logged four rematches this week.
The hidden information mechanic had my partner second-guessing every lane choice, which is exactly the tension I wanted from a two-player deduction game. We lost track of time figuring out the asymmetric powers, and honestly losing a battle felt as strategic as winning one.
