Providence adds 30 fate cards to Veiled Fate, including dual-alignment cards that let you choose scorpions or feathers. Here is what that changes at the table.
Quick answer
Providence is a small card expansion that adds 30 fate cards to Veiled Fate, including some dual-alignment cards that let you choose scorpions or feathers. It is worth adding if you already play Veiled Fate regularly and want more variety without changing the core rules.
What the dual-alignment cards change
Most fate cards in Veiled Fate carry a fixed alignment. Dual-alignment cards give you a choice between scorpions and feathers when you play them, which means the same card can support different strategies depending on the moment. That flexibility can make hands feel less dead and open up bluffing options, but it also means you need to read the table more carefully before committing.
When Providence is not the right pick
If you are new to Veiled Fate or only play occasionally, the base game already offers plenty of variety. Adding more cards before you know the core deck well can dilute the tension that makes the game work. Providence is also not a standalone expansion; it requires the base game to use.
